Learn to Swim!
Get Over Fear of Water :)
ALL AGES, All ABILITIES!
Our private Learn-to-Swim lessons in warm water therapy pools are inherently safer and more comfortable! No skill prerequisites needed.
Instead of trying to learn how to swim in a chilly recreational swimming pool, surrounded by a large group of kids, set at specific times that don’t fit your schedule, Beyond Aquatics’ Learn-to-Swim program offers convenient 1 on 1 swimming instruction that fits your schedule in a private upscale aquatic center.
Our learn-to-swim Program provides individuals with a solid foundation of water safety knowledge and skills. We have a variety of knowledgeable and responsible instructors who will create a fun and interactive environment for your family while fitting your schedule and budget.
The program is designed for children all the way up to adults and those with special abilities. Students progress through levels at their own pace.
Course length varies by individual. Courses typically meet over 7-10 sessions.
The fear of water is very real and can be debilitating and embarrassing. Imagine the teenager invited to a friend's home to swim. The fear of water may cause them to avoid the situation all together, foregoing the invitation to sit home, alone and lonely, or to go and sit on the sidelines, missing out on the fun his or her friends are having. Or imagine the parent, sitting at the side of the pool, feeling helpless if their child needs help in the water.
The fear of water, or aquaphobia, can be as simple as being afraid to put your head in the water, or avoiding water altogether. Some people may experience panic attacks when near water or even at the thought of being near water. Some may be able to be in shallow water but may have a fear of being in water that is above their neck.
Our learn-to-swim class helps students (no matter their age) get ready to swim by emphasizing fun in the water. There are two sets of stairs and a bench in the therapy pool for those newly adjusting to the water who may want to start by just putting their feet in the water and progress slowly from there. Each therapy pool has handrails so you can feel relaxed knowing that you can always hold onto the wall until you are more comfortable taking the next step. Our custom designed flat bottom therapy pools have no deep ends so students are reassured that they will not be in over their head. Feel confident! You are never far away from the edge in our smaller private therapy pools. Let us help you get comfortable in the water by customizing lessons to fit your needs. We know you will love it here!

FYI: Children must be 6 months old to start lessons. We do offer a Mommy and Me class for babies. Second students are FREE during paid lessons! There is a $10 fee per third and fourth student. Parents can sit next to the pool area and watch their children (take pictures/videos) or they can drop their kids off and run errands. Lots of parents enjoying using the underwater treadmills or HydroMassage therapy bed during their children’s lessons!
